ASCENSION  STUDY CIRCLE

The Ascension Study Circle is a philatelic society formed in 1982 by the efforts of a small group of enthusiastic Ascension philatelists with the agreed object of promoting all aspects of Ascension philately and related topics of interest.  Members are encouraged to take active participation in philatelic research either by collaboration or by submitting articles for publication in our quarterly Wideawake Journal.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

All Ascension Study Circle members receive copies of Wideawake Journal, which, in addition to philatelic and other articles relating to Ascension, carries Study Circle notices, Members’ News, Sales and Wants, Auction Realisations, Book Reviews and so forth.

A copy of Ascension Study Circle Rules and Constitution together with an updated copy of the Membership List is issued annually to all members.

The following services are available to paid-up members
1) Reference Library
2) Information Packet Circuit
3) Annual Auctions
4) Exchange Packet Circuit (U.K. Members only)

In 2000 the Study Circle published "Handbook of the Definitive Stamps of Ascension 1922-1955". This is in loose-leaf format to permit updating and at present it is available only to members.
