The Ascension Study Circle is a philatelic society formed in 1982 by the efforts of a small group of enthusiastic Ascension philatelists with the agreed object of promoting all aspects of Ascension philately and related topics of interest. Members are encouraged to take active participation in philatelic research either by collaboration or by submitting articles for publication in our quarterly Wideawake Journal. paid-up members In 2000 the Study Circle published "Handbook of the Definitive Stamps of Ascension 1922-1955". This is in loose-leaf format to permit updating and at present it is available only to members. MEETINGS The Study Circle meets annually
